In Colombia, we face a significant environmental challenge: annually, we generate more than 9.6 million tons of organic household waste, representing 61% of our total waste. However, less than 2% of this biowaste is recycled.
This situation has a direct impact on our cities, where the natural nutrient cycle is disrupted. As a result, soil degradation accelerates, currently affecting 40% of available arable land.
